DESIGN FOR
SOCIETY
At
the beginning of the 21st
century, the world is fundamentally changing. Economic forces are
stronger than ever before and the balance between historical and
emerging powers is constantly changing. A new perception of human
activity in the production of goods and services, and of the management
of this activity, can be imagined.
The conference wishes to highlight , Innovation,
Sustainability and Knowledge as three
interdependent dimensions related to major societal issues. How to
create, diffuse, share and preserve knowledge within our organisations
concerning the production of goods and services?
|
|
How to
build in the field of product development a true learning organisation?
How to manage knowledge within innovating processes? How to obtain
sustained innovation? How to develop new products and services
presenting lower environmental impacts through their lifecycles? How to
face in the future such challenges as natural resource shortages or
health problems?
Such issues will be addressed from engineering design points of view.
